New Music Monday

Start your week off right with these 5 new tracks. All of these songs can be found on Spotify or online.

1.”Dukes” – King 810

Not only is King 810 one of my favorites bands, but they NEVER fail to deliver. “Dukes” is no exception to that. This single released at the beginning of this month follows the March release of their other new single “Hellhounds”. Their no bullshit lyrics coupled with their grim and enthralling nature always leaves fans wanting more and I can’t wait for what they are going to put out next. This song in particular is just another example of how diverse and completely underrated King is. If you haven’t listened to this band before, do yourself a favor and check out their albums and EPs too.

2. “Bloodlust” – DVSR, CJ Mcmahon

This no holds barred track released in late April is definitely worth adding on your playlist this week. There’s nothing quite like some serious heavy metal hip hop but this song isn’t ONLY that. Don’t believe me? Just wait for the vocal growls around the 1:40 mark.

3. “Feeling Fine” – DREGG

In a time where we are all going through something that feels like the entire world has gone crazy, this track released by DREGG in late April is much needed. I really love and appreciate music that sounds like someone is coming completely unhinged, and this song is 100% that for me. Instrumentally and vocally, this songs captures what sounds like a downward spiral into madness. Lyrically, this song reminds me of a much heavier version of the 90’s tune “Mother Mother” by Tracy Bonham. From the minute I heard it I was hooked, and I think you will be too.

4. “Electric Hive” by Forming the Void

This hypnotic track will leave you stuck in a trance. It comes off of Forming the Void’s new album “Reverie” which was just released on May 8th. If you haven’t listen to this band, the electric yet grunge-y sound is what really makes them really unique and “Electric Hive” is no exception to that.

5. “Take My Breath Away” – GroundCulture

This song is on GroundCulture’s new album “How Well Do You Really Know Yourself?” which was just released on May 1st. This song is heavy with vocals that are aggressive, yet also smooth and melodic. If you are a fan of early 2000’s hard rock and metal like I am, you will definitely like GroundCulture.
