One could argue that there’s a lot of good and bad things about the way music distribution has evolved over the years. But the biggest game changer to me is that we now have more access than ever to underground music. And with the way technology has developed over the years, small independent bands are able to create, distribute, and market like never before. We headbangers LOVE to tell people about bands they should be listening to. It’s even better, though, when we’re talking about underground metal music.
Today marks my 28th trip around the sun. And what do I want for my birthday this year? Simply put: for you to discover something that you love and have never heard before. That’s why I’m bringing you my Underground Metal Music Playlist.
What’s Included on This Playlist
This is my personal playlist that I love to regularly headbang to. It’s full of underground metal bands. Some of these artists may work with very small independent labels or have a tape deal. However, most of them are completely independent DIY bands. The thing I love most about every artist in this underground metal music playlist is that they put their all into the music. And as a heavy music fanatic, that’s something I’m eternally grateful for.
Listen to my Underground Metal playlist here on Spotify. I will be updating this with new underground music as it’s released.
