October 12th Playlist: New Music From AC/DC & More

1. “Vexation” – 156/Silence

Fellow Pittsburghers 156/Silence just dropped their new album ‘Irrational Pull’ via Sharptone Records. On November 27th, the band will be dropping a deluxe edition of the album which is set to include several bonus tracks. “Vexation”, as well as a cover the Alice In Chains classic “Them Bones”, will be on that release. You can preorder or presave the deluxe edition of ‘Irrational Pull’ here.

2. “Trust No One” – Zeal & Ardor

“Trust No One” is the latest heavy track Zeal & Ardor have released off of their upcoming EP ‘Wake of a Nation’. Zeal & Ardor stated on Instagram that this new EP is the reaction to the racial injustice we’ve seen in recent months. “This record is for Michael Brown, Eric Garner, George Floyd, and the countless untold and nameless killed. It is for the brave souls willing to take a stand and ready to risk their own well being so that others may have theirs intact.”

Zeal & Ardor said they’re also donating all revenue from the sales and streams of their prior single “I Can’t Breathe”. ‘Wake of a Nation’ will be released on October 23rd. In the meantime, you can preorder it here.

3. “Dream Gone Bad” – Killer Be Killed

Supergroup Killer Be Killed is back with their second single from their upcoming album ‘Reluctant Hero’. This track really plays with Max Cavalera’s harsh vocals against Greg Puciato’s clean melodies. Killer Be Killed’s new tracks have been consistently good, and I think we’re in for a treat with the new album. ‘Reluctant Hero’ is set to be released on November 20th via Nuclear Blast Records. Make sure to presave it or you can preorder the album and merch bundles here.

4. “Rufflin’ Feathers” – Small Town Titans

“Rufflin’ Feathers” is Small Town Titans’ take on today’s social media circus. This electrifying track gives you an immediate dose of adrenaline from the moment it kicks in. It’s also undeniably catchy. “Rufflin Feathers” comes from the York rock trio’s upcoming album ‘The Ride’ due out on November 13 via AntiFragile Music. Small Town Titans have ‘The Ride’ available for preorder, along with some merch up for grabs.

5. “Shot In The Dark” – AC/DC

One of the few good things about 2020 is new music from AC/DC. If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram, you know that AC/DC just announced a reunion with members Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams for a new album, ‘Power Up’. “Shot In The Dark” is the first track the rock legends have debuted from the highly anticipated new release. The album is going to be available in a variety of formats. The limited edition deluxe version, though, will include a light up box with built in speakers that play part of this song. It will also include other perks like a 20 page booklet. ‘Power Up’ is scheduled for release on November 13 through Columbia. You can preorder or presave it here.
