It’s a new month and it’s important that you start it out right. Check out these new tracks and don’t forget to listen along with my Spotify playlist which has all of these songs ready for you!
1. “Holy Roller” – Spiritbox
Spiritbox brings us yet another awesome single and this one is seriously HEAVY. It is a complete change of pace from the single it follows, ‘Blessed Be.’ which just goes to show how many layers there are to this trio. They also released a music video which they filmed at home during quarantine and it gives off some “Midsommar” vibes.
2. “Iona” – DevilDriver
This is the 2nd single DevilDriver has released off of their upcoming album, ‘Dealing With Demons Part 1,’ which is due out on October 9th and I am loving the new music so far! “Iona” takes that classic DevilDriver heaviness and combines it with an eerie atmosphere. Lyrically, it tells the story of a revengeful ghost, Iona, who carries black roses that represent the soul of each victim she took from a secluded dark road.
3. “Imposter” – Bury Tomorrow
This track is off of Bury Tomorrow’s album ‘Cannibal’ which was just released a few days ago. The British metalcore band continues to perfectly blend melodic and aggressive vocals alongside booming drums and catchy riffs, making this song a must listen.
