Einherjer’s “West Coast Groove” & More: NMM

March 1, 2021

Hello and Happy New Music Monday! This week things are going to get HEAVY so I hope you’re ready to start this month off with a (head)bang. Join me in jamming to Einherjer’s “West Coast Groove” and more in this week’s playlist.

NEW MUSIC MONDAY PLAYLIST FOR THE WEEK OF 3/1/21: Einherjer’s “West Coast Groove” & More!

Song List with "West Coast Groove"

Before we get started, don’t forget that you can listen along with my Spotify playlist. It has all of these songs lined up for you so you can just hit play.

1. “Hund” – Melvins

Melvins just released their new album Working With God, which is where you’ll find “Hund”. Filled with cosmically infectious energy, “Hund” is a track that you can’t help but headbang to. This latest Melvins record has reunited the band’s 1983 line up, making it their first record together in 8 years. Working With God is available everywhere now. Stream it or pick up a physical copy here.

2. “West Coast Groove” – Einherjer

This week we’re also getting some new Viking metal from Einherjer with their new album North Star. “West Coast Groove” comes off of that release. The title couldn’t be a more accurate description of how this song sounds. It’s viking metal but with rockin’ west coast style riffs that makes for an awesome combination. North Star is available to stream on your favorite platform, but you can also pick up a physical copy or some Einherjer merch here.

3. “Hideous” – Vexed

U.K. based alt metallers Vexed have announced their debut full length album Culling Culture which is set to be released on May 21st. “Hideous” is their raw and aggressive new track giving us a taste for what’s to come. The song directly focuses on feelings of rage and betrayal, depicting how they can tear you apart or give you strength. While we’re waiting for Culling Culture to drop, you can preorder it here.

4. “God Is The Enemy” – Cane Hill

NOLA’s Cane Hill also brought us their intensely heavy ending to Krewe De La Mort with their latest single “God Is The Enemy”. Whether it’s an acoustic song or something much heavier, Cane Hill really is a band that can do it all. Not to mention, they have some of the best riffs and guitar solos which is just one of the things that makes this song stand out. You can listen to “God Is The Enemy” on your favorite streaming platform. Cane Hill have also dropped new merch for this single which you can order here on their website.

5. “Take Me To Hell” – Bodysnatcher

Florida’s Bodysnatcher keeps the heavy intensity going this week and even takes it a step further with their new banger “Take Me To Hell”. There are just some songs that make you instantly envision what the pit will be like, and this is one of them. Bodysnatcher also released a new music video for “Take Me To Hell” which you can watch on their youtube channel.

6. “United In Chaos” – Summoning The Lich

I couldn’t think of a better way to finish this week’s playlist than with one of the brutally heavy new songs from Summoning The Lich. “United In Chaos” is the title track from their new album, which is an absolute beast of a record. If you like “United In Chaos”, I highly recommend you listen to the album in it’s entirety. You will not be disappointed. You can order your copy of United In Chaos or some new Summoning The Lich merch here.
