The Warm Goth Outfit You Need This Winter Season

December 29, 2020

Now that winter is finally here, I find it harder and harder to get fully dressed, let alone get out from under the blankets! Between the cold weather and the necessity to stay home, all I want is for my outfits to be comfortable and warm. The days of thinking you can’t be cute and comfy are gone, and this warm goth outfit is proof of that. I also dive into why you might not always get the best deal at your local thrift shop.

The Basics of This Warm Goth Outfit

What You Need to Know About This Warm Goth Outfit

For the ultimate form of warmth this holiday season, I highly recommend adding a black turtleneck to your closet. They can be versatile and they’re perfect for the winter weather. This sweater dress from Killstar is my go-to when I’m looking for a warm goth outfit. Plus, the sorcery sleeves add so much to what would be just a basic black outfit. They also make me feel like I’m a real life Morticia Addams.

Don’t let the elegant feel of this outfit make you think it can’t be used for lounging! Both the sweater dress and these vegan leather leggings are super soft, warm, and comfortable. I actually ordered these leggings during the Black Friday sale at Express, and I really didn’t know what to expect. I was extremely happy when they arrived to find that they’re stretchy and also super soft on the inside. That extra soft fabric on the inside also adds another layer of warmth, unlike any other leggings I have in my closet.

The Accessories

As far as accessories go, I kept this outfit simple by pairing it with my favorite black boots and necklace that would compliment the turtleneck. My husband and I found this gold skull necklace while shopping at a local thrift shop. Believe it or not, I am more of the thrifty shopper in the relationship. Because I’m obsessed with skulls to the point that I have them all over my house all year, my husband insisted I had to get this necklace. His case was “where are we ever going to find this again”?

Shortly after buying it there we found it on Amazon for much cheaper than we paid for it. The moral of the story: don’t assume that you’re getting the best deal at the thrift shop. With that being said, I do NOT endorse Amazon and it’s been years since I’ve shopped with them, so I regret nothing. 😋
