New Metal Music For The Week of 5/10/21 Featuring Oceanhoarse + More!

“Reaching Skywards” – Oceanhoarse
Finland’s Oceanhoarse is set to drop their new album, Dead Reckoning, on August 20th which is where you’ll find this heavy new track. “Reaching Skywards” booms with intensity from the second it starts. It’s fast, electrifying, and roars with intensity throughout. With new music like this, I can’t wait for more from Oceanhoarse. “More Than Dreaming” – Light The Torch
With its undeniable, infectious energy Light The Torch’s new song “More Than Dreaming” is the perfect song to start your week. It’s also one of those songs that’s powerful enough to keep you pushing through this week and beyond! “More Than Dreaming” comes from Light The Torch’s upcoming, second album, You Will Be The Death Of Me. While it’s not set to be released until June 25th, preorders are available here in the meantime.
“Coda” – Ghost Iris
“Coda” is a pulse pounding, aggressive anthem that comes off of Ghost Iris’s new album, Comatose. A seamless transition from brutal verses to melodic choruses that don’t take away from the heaviness of the song isn’t always successful for some bands. This is something that metalcore tends to receive flack for because it makes a song feel watered down. “Ruthless” – Nonpoint
When I think of Nonpoint’s sound, the first thing that comes to my mind is their aggressively heavy energy. Their new song “Ruthless” holds true to that. This explosive track holds nothing back, and it feels so freaking good. “Ruthless” is the title track from Nonpoint’s upcoming EP. Nonpoint also recently announced the formation of their own label, 361 Degree Records, and this release marks the label’s first single. “We Are The Dragon” – Cvlt Ov the Svn
I can be very picky when it comes to dark metal that has poppy elements. Give me a thrash song and chances are I’m going to like it. But something like the former has to be executed properly. Cvlt Ov the Svn does just that. “We Are The Dragon” is so damn catchy and upbeat that you can’t help but love it. It doesn’t try too hard or attempt to be something it’s not. Instead, it flows effortlessly and is a breath of fresh air for new metal music. “We Are The Dragon” is the title track for Cvlt Ov the Svn’s new album which is available everywhere now.
