Happy New Music Monday my fellow metalheads! After taking last week to focus on my health, I’m so happy to be back in the swing of things. That’s especially true for this week’s New Music Monday. One of my favorite things about this blog is being a source for you to discover the best new rock and metal music. This week I have 6 amazingly heavy new songs for you including Dead Label’s latest single, “Flux”.
New Music Monday 4/12/21

1. “Flux” – Dead Label
Dead Label have been busy working on a new album. In the meantime, the Irish metal quartet just released their EP, Anthology. It houses the band’s prior singles including their 2 latest releases, “Flux” and “Deadweight”. In “Flux”, Dead Label holds nothing back, bringing pure raw intensity and aggression. 2. “Thought of a Vision” – Defocus
Germany’s Defocus has been giving us lots to look forward to with another killer single called “Thought of a Vision”. This is a song that really showcases what Defocus is capable of, which is all around awesomeness. It’s dark and brutally heavy, with some melodic moments that accentuate the emotion the song is filled with. It comes off of the band’s forthcoming debut album, In The Eye Of Death We Are All The Same. The album’s not due to be released until July 2nd, but while we’re waiting, preorders are available here.
3. “Lost Control” – Dust In Mind
Dust In Mind’s newest single “Lost Control” is so infectiously hypnotic and powerful that it may even make you lose control. The band also released an equally mesmerizing music video to accompany the new single. There’s no word on an album yet. However, you can support Dust In Mind by joining them on their Patreon or picking up some merch.
4. “Apostle” – Tyrants
I hope you’re ready for a pit worthy banger, because that’s exactly what Tyrants are serving up with “Apostle”. It’s a song that will instantly have you banging your head. To stream Tyrants’s music or pick up some merch, check out their linktree.
5. “Firebreather” – Motorjesus
Motorjesus recently released their new album Hellbreaker, which is where you’ll find this hard and heavy new track. “Firebreather” is the heavy metal anthem that will get you through your week. Pick up a copy of Hellbreaker or stream it here.
6. “Race to the End” – DAMN NATION
“Race to the End” is the title track from DAMN NATION’s debut album, which is available everywhere now. On their Facebook, the band says, “This album is a love letter to our earliest influences in Heavy Rock, and a collective of Dystopian themed songs about mankind’s immortal cycle towards imminent self destruction.” That’s exactly what you’ll hear in this track. If you’re putting together your soundtrack for kicking this week’s ass, this song needs to be included. You can listen to DAMN NATION’s new album, Race To The End, on these platforms.
