NMM Featuring "Graveside Confessions" and more

“Erase” – Zeal & Ardor

There’s not many bands that could take the sounds of things like black metal and gospel and make them work together so seamlessly. You might even think that at some point this avant-garde style of metal might start to feel a little repetitive. But Zeal & Ardor releases are always something unexpected, unique, and frankly, mind blowing. Their newest single “Erase” is no exception to that. “Erase” comes from Zeal & Ardor’s upcoming self titled album. There’s no word yet on when that will drop, but their most recent EP, Wake of A Nation, is still available on their bandcamp.

“Boudicca (Queen of the Iceni)” – Ex Deo featuring Brittney Slayes

Symphonic death metallers Ex Deo have teamed up with Unleash the Archers vocalist Brittney Slayes for their new single, “Boudicca (Queen of the Iceni)”. Some might even say that this is the most epic metal collaboration we’ve seen this summer. Keeping with Ex Deo’s Ancient Rome theme, it’s a crushingly heavy battle anthem. And as for Brittney? She absolutely slays and soars on these vocals. “Boudicca (Queen of the Iceni)” comes off of Ex Deo’s upcoming album The Thirteen Years Of Nero. That won’t be out until August 27th, but preorders are available here in the meantime.

“Graveside Confessions” – Carnifex

Carnifex is one of the stand out bands of 2021. And sure, maybe that’s just my completely biased opinion. But you can’t ignore the fact that every single they’ve released this year has been some of their best work. I thought “Seven Souls” was going to be my number one song of 2021, but “Graveside Confessions” may have taken that spot. Carnifex even dropped an equally brutal and intense video for this track that I recommend checking out. “Graveside Confessions” is the title track for Carnifex’s forthcoming, eighth album which drops September 3rd. Presave it on your favorite platform or preorder it here.

“All We Know” – Cane Hill

Speaking of bands that have released a bunch of killer singles, Cane Hill just released their latest track, “All We Know”. It’s the first song the band wrote after releasing their Kill The Sun EP. “All We Know” has more of those melodic elements that we heard on that EP, but those heavy, almost industrial like elements are also there. Cane Hill has also confirmed this track will stay a stand alone single and will not be on any future EPs. They do, however, have new merch up for grabs here.

“Anxiety” – Attila

Attila just dropped their new album Closure which is where you’ll find this heavy new track. “Anxiety” is a banger of an anthem, especially for anxiety sufferers like myself. The song itself is aggressive, and the final breakdown just solidifies that. Closure is available everywhere now. Stream it here.
