Valentine’s Day can be a mixed bag of emotions depending on how you feel about the holiday. It’s honestly always been my least favorite and probably always will be. However, as someone with a playlist for everything, I couldn’t pass up the chance to bring you some of my favorite rock & metal songs about love. And of course, I’m bringing that to you in the form of the My Heavy Valentine playlist on Spotify.
Sure, metal doesn’t have the BIGGEST reputation for “love songs” per say. But every year when I make this playlist, I find more and more metal love songs that are just plain awesome. With that being said, you should know that not all of these songs are about being in love. Instead, they all have love related themes. So in addition to love songs, there’s anti love songs, sexy songs, and everything in between.
As I do with every holiday playlist each year, I changed this year’s musical selection up a tiny bit. It still includes some of my long time favorites, your requests that were sent via Instagram, and even some new discoveries that I think you’ll like.
